My Approach To Nervous System Healing & Optimization
I was first introduced to Tanja the summer of 2013 as a result of a referral I received from a trusted family member. It was at a time of my life when I was facing some huge changes and I felt the need for professional help navigating through those changes in a healthy way.
After my first one hour session with Tanja I was blown away with how valuable the time was. Instead of spending an hour of my life replaying a depressing video of my circumstances to a sympathetic listener, Tanja masterfully guided the conversation, gathering the pertinent information and then delivering to me the actionable take-ways, encouragements, vision, and education I needed and more.

First - What is a Dysregulated Nervous System?
A dysregulated nervous system refers to the autonomic nervous system, which causes us to think, feel and behave in ways that are driven by unconscious patterns and which generate automatic responses.
You may feel stuck in REACTION mode feeling like even small happenings are overwhelming and you are in crisis mode a lot of the time.
Inability to cope with normal life happenings, emotionally out of balance, hypersensitive to things, spaced out and confused, not able to focus, feeling fuzzy, hypercritical, anxious, and depressed, can all be signs that unresolved trauma symptoms are running your life.
When our nervous system is dysregulated, we will have faulty neuroception which will cause us to over-react or under-react inappropriately, due to cues from our internal physiology which are mismatched with external circumstances.
